Richard the Lionheart, the crusader king whose youth was rooted in the fortresses of the Loire, then reigned over England. His room, sober and powerful, celebrates chivalric values: tuffeau stone, oak panelling, a damask velvet canopy, a damask bedspread, an ancient Shyrdak rug, troubadour bedside lamps, a contemporary artwork and a medieval frieze.
